Home > FAQ > Why is the Junior League of Asheville having a Volunteer Expo?

The Junior League of Asheville, Inc. is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving our community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable. For over 90 years, members of the Junior League of Asheville, Inc. have worked to improve our community. The Volunteer Expo is one current way we are seeking to address a need in our community. The Asheville area has many wonderful volunteer organizations, but it is hard for community members to understand all of their options unless they do a lot of research on their own. We hope the Volunteer Expo will help with the first step of educating oneself about the volunteer opportunities available in our area by providing direct access to local organizations.
